First time at Molino and I thought it was good. I would have liked the decor to be updated, but all in all I would come back. Service was good .

Had dinner on a Friday night with brother-in-law and our wives. Despite the poor reviews on Yelp and from a friend, we were all impressed. We were seated immediately at an outside table, delivered our drinks and respectfully left to enjoy them. Once ready to order, the waiter was helpful and attentive. He recommended and very good and affordable wine for us. Each dinner was well plated and tasted great. Then we split desserts of tiramisu and a house chocolate specialty. Yes dinner was expensive but I would say it was worth it.

We've been down here for a couple years now and never tried Molino's because of the negative reviews on Yelp. Well yesterday we found ourselves out and hungry without a reservation so we stopped by. They were full but were very accommodating at getting us a table. I had the chicken Parm. The chicken itself was perfect.. Tender, no gristle, etc. it came with a ton of sauce and cheese. Maybe a bit much but the red sauce was delicious. My wife had the gnocchi and it didn't appear to be homemade but it was also very good. The waiters were also very good, friendly and attentive. I'm a little irritated at myself for not giving it a chance sooner.

We have been coming to Bonita Springs for ten years and we finally gave Molino's a try. It's on the expensive side for Italian so we just didn't go. We had our Easter dinner there and was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance of the place. We ate out on the patio with a great view of the courtyard, very beautiful. We were greeted at the door with a pleasant smile and were seated right away. I ordered the Rigatoni with shrimp and my wife the linguini with clams. Both dinners were just OK, thought they both needed more seasoning, but cooked just right. Our waiter was very attentive until we finished ordering then he was pretty inattentive after that. Other wait staff took better care of us. You pay for the decor and the setting at this place even though we sat on uncomfortable plastic pool chairs out on the patio. I'd give it a four for the ambiance but a three for everything else.

Just okay. I ordered fish and should've known better. Apparently their veal is to die for. I'll know for next time.

We were contemplating Molino's at 6 pm on a Saturday night. The place is beautiful and elegant. The entrée price was more in the $22-$30/person range. However, when we went in, we were not greeted, there was no hostess. I took a menu from the hostess stand and a woman (hostess? waitress? owner?) came up and made a big sigh like I was an inconvenience, took her two menus and disappeared. Seeing no one and feeling unwelcomed, we left for a great meal elsewhere at half the price.

Food is nothing near being special here. In fact I'd say it's below average. Bread was stale and although others near us received olive oil and butter for their bread, we got only butter and only 3 pads of it!! Pasta is not made fresh and one can tell. Tasted like boxed pasta. Wife had lobster ravs and they had to be the kind you buy frozen in a store. Sauce was mediocre at best. We had VIP discount card provided to us from rental agency that owner refused to honor.. Card listed Molinos as a participating business..He said he never offers any discounts!! Never ever..and he dont need people from way in Naples to come eat there! He was rude, obnoxious and loud. Moreover I picked up copy of Southwest Spotlight Magazine today and there is a discount of 25% offered from this restaurant thru March 26, 2015. No discounts, never ever? Only Pro is that wait staff was very efficient and pleasant. Our waiter was so embarrassed by the owner's manner toward us , he offered us a complimentary dessert on him, but we refused. We wont go back. There are many and better Italian restaurants in Naples/ Bonita Springs. Stay away from this one.

Food was good but it took 45 minutes and 3 requests to get a glass of wine. It seemed like our table was ignored for most of our visit. Except for the girl refilling water and clearing the tables. She was very nice and helpful. We sat outside tonight.

Here we go! I am a home chef, and find eating out not pleasureable because everything is compared to my own cuisine. I ordered the veal shank w/saffron risotto. My first dish had a very under-seasoned veal and sauce over CRUNCHY risotto, my husband agreed. Recieved a side of cooked risotto... No seasoning! Where were the shallots, wine, chicken stock, butter, and parmesan AND, signature saffron???? At $36, no way !! Very dissappointing!

This is a fantastic restaurant located in the Promenade Mall in Bonita Springs. The interior is elegant and the waiters are knowledgeable, punctual & courteous, and, I believe, many of them are Italian. The restaurant has a great selection of wines, and the food is delicious. We had Penne Bolognaise and Veal Picatta - both were perfect. The penne was al dente, as it should be. The only downer? This place is expensive. It's truly about 4 & 1/2 stars, but I gave it 5 because I just like the place!

Average food and service. Overpriced for the portion size. No salad included with entree.

We were one of the few people eating there and I agree it's a little over priced but I rather eat at this Italian restaurant then the olive garden since its fresh. The service was great and everything we ate was really good.

Really hoped the food would be better....close to our new home but the prices were high for what you got and the dishes were mediocre. No salad included and the wait staff was a bit condescending. Chicken was fair and my husband's spaghetti and meatballs were awful. We will not return...

Molino's is a disgrace to my very Italian background!!! Overpriced, rude servers and a stuffy, cramped dining room! Limited menu and to my surprise, the eggplant dish is not served with pasta! huge mistake!! Small portions and I'm not sure where they got the notion that cannolis should be served with whipped cream and covered in chocolate sauce, very bad idea. I have been Italian all my life and have never seen such a poor offering of the beautiful food that my people often represent......

The food is overpriced for what it is. There are much better options in the area. The food was plain and unflavorful and the wine was very overpriced. The cannolis were the highlight of the meal, but not enough to make me ever come back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
